Janerick Holmes, Founder

Janerick Holmes is a capacity building specialist who strengthens mission-driven organizations through both facilitation and digital strategy. Whether designing curriculum for race equity training or building data visualization dashboards, he believes the medium is the message—and every touchpoint matters.

Through Janerick Media, he develops websites and brand identities for legal aid organizations and advocacy initiatives. Recent projects include Illinois Pride Connect, the state's first LGBTQIA+ legal resource hub, and custom analytics dashboards that help organizations track engagement patterns, geographic reach, and resource utilization trends.

As Founder and Executive Director of Equity Culture Center, Janerick designs curriculum and facilitates capacity building for organizations integrating equity into their work—presenting complex concepts like systems thinking and organizational change while creating space for meaningful dialogue.

Previously, as Racial Justice Institute Director at the Shriver Center on Poverty Law, Janerick built a network of 400+ advocates applying race justice analysis to their work. He enhanced curriculum by working with advocates to craft narrative success stories—helping teams who dismantled the school-to-prison pipeline in St. Louis and created a right-to-counsel program in Philadelphia. Before that, he managed online communications at Mississippi Center for Justice, shaping digital narratives that resonated with social justice leaders.

Janerick holds a B.S. in Media, Culture and Communications from NYU and an M.A. in Media Studies from The New School. In his spare time, he researches BIPOC erasure in paranormal narratives—continuing to push storytelling boundaries while uplifting missing voices in oral history.
